about

The new Organic Flow album, Black Power Live, is complete. The nine-track LP was created by the Chicago-based hip-hop and jazz duo, who have been making music as part of a larger ensemble called Organic Flow Collective since 2006. The new album, Black Power Live, began to be worked on during the COVID-19 pandemic. The album was created during the COVID-19 pandemic, with Mikey See sending instrumental tracks to MC ESHR, who then wrote lyrics, recorded verses, and added turntables to complete the songs. The new album rewrites the narrative of being young, Black, bi-racial, and excellent while straddling two Americas and models accomplicing across difference to operationalize black intellectualism and creativity while calling in a Beloved Community.
